New Year's Eve/Day
Best New Year's Evar! Not as in of all historical time, but certainly the best one in a very long time. The weather was very kind to not be raining until daybreak when the whole city was already inside and safely passed out. I was with friends, drank lots of beer, had some champagne and heard a lot of good music.
Deborah and I tried getting in some DDR at ground kontrol before the real party at the Bitter End, but the machine was broked :( I've been trying to get out there to play for the longest time now, and something always comes up. It must be a sign that I gotta get my own set at home. I saw a thing way back where you can get a cheapo pad and secure it to a plywood base. That would be a fun afternoon project and they'd be easy to put away. Too bad that I have work to catch up on for the next couple weeks.
Guitar Hero 2 has been a real treat, but I have to lay off it a few days while my forearm and hand muscles recover. My roomate suggested that I could start playing left-handed, and I'm thinking that would be a very fun exercise in ambidexterity.
